Ingredients

How to make it

  • 1. In a 4-6 quart Dutch oven or stock pot, or saucepan over medium heat, add the onion and garlic sauté for 3-5 minutes. Add chicken broth water, beans, salt pepper and the turkey wing. Bring to a boil; turn down to a simmer and let simmer for about 2 to 12 ½ hours or until beans are done. When the meat is falling off the bone, remove from the turkey from the pot; take the meat from the bone, chop and return meat to the pot and finish.

Delicious. I used my crock pot. I don't like soupy soup so I only used four cups of water and took some beans out, mashed them up and returned them to the crock and stirred them back in. I had one turkey wing and one drumette which added more meat and I really like that as well. More in IMI. 12/17/15
