How to make it

  • Place chicken, onion, bell pepper in a slow cooker.
  • In a medium bowl combine the tomato soup, cream of mushroom soup, tomato paste, water, parsley, oregano, basil, salt and pepper.
  • Mix well and pour mixture over chicken and vegetables in slow cooker.
  • Stir to coat and add bay leaf.
  • Cook on Low setting for 8 hours, until chicken and vegetables are tender.

    I have been trying out my crock pot again, and this was pretty good. was perfect over pasta, but reminded me too much of spaghetti sauce

    Oh yes, crock pots are great even in the summer since they won't be heating up the entire kitchen like the oven does when they are on.

    I've made this at least three or four times now and it's so easy and simple to do. I'm waiting on the weather to change temperatures so I can bring my crock pot out again ha ha ha - it's like my best friend in the kitchen especially around colder months! *grin*
