Dutch Apple Cake

- 1 1/2 flour shopping list
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 3 tablespoon sugar shopping list
- 1/4 cup shortening shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- milk, about 1/2 cup shopping list
- FILLING: shopping list
- 4-5 cups apples shopping list
- 3 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 2/3 cups sugar shopping list
- 1 tablespoon flour shopping list
- 1 teaspoons cinnamon shopping list
- 1 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice shopping list
How to make it
- Sift dry ingredients cut in shortening add enough milk to make soft dough with fork.
- Roll our dough and line cake pan with dough. ( I USE SPRING FORM PAN AND PAT DOUGH IN PAN. IT ALWAYS TURNS OUT WONDERFUL.)
- Filling:
- Cream the butter sugar flour cinnamon and lemon juice. Place apples onto the dough. Place filling mixture over top of the apples.
- Bake 400 for 40 to 50 minutes
- can use peaches or plums.
