Ingredients
  • 6 c. of peeled cored and sliced apples
  • 4 c. of white sugar
  • 1 thinly sliced lemon
  • 1 tsp. of ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp. of fresh lemon juice
  • 1 (57 g) package of fruit pectin
  • 1 c. of water

Directions
  1. First you want to take a large pot and combine the apples, water and lemon juice.
  2. Then put a lid on the pot boil gently for approx. 15 minutes, stirring 3 or 4 times to prevent sticking.
  3. Then stir in the fruit pectin.
  4. Next bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  5. Now add in the sugar, lemon slices and cinnamon.
  6. Let this return to a boil and boil hard for approx. 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  7. Then you can can remove from flame and ladle into clean hot jars, leaving 1/4 in. head space.
  8. Let this process in a boiling water bath for approx. 5 minutes.

This sounds way to complicated for me but my sister does stuff like this so I will pass the recipe on to her because it sounds good. She made some crab apple marmalade years ago and it was delicious even though crab apples are sour.
