How to make it

  • Mix first 7 ingredients well
  • Heat veggie oil over a medium heat and toss in the peas, stir a minute especially if they are frozen.
  • Add the tea leaves, stir.
  • Add scallions and stir fry for about a minute
  • Next add the rice and break it up in the pan
  • Pour the tamari mixture over the rice and stir the liquid in well
  • Stir fry and mix well until the liquid is absorbed and the flavors marry
  • In a separate pan cook beaten egg
  • When the egg is done fold it into a triangle and serve in the same bowl with the rice.
  • Top with a little tamari, soy or salt if you wish.
  • Great for breakfast or anytime!

    Yes this is true! I use brewed tea leaves! However, don't eat this in the evening or you may be awake all night !!!! The caffeine takes awhile to get out of your system, it is not like drinking the liquid tea.

    so- you basically used the tea leaves from after you brew some green tea, yes?...and you eat them...?
