I made this for a baby shower today and it was a hit. Since the bacon takes over, I think less bacon, and maybe a touch of something else next time. Hot sauce? Hmmmmm. Thank you!

Gave this a go the other day, and it indeed was excellent! Leftovers reheated weren't really too bad either. I took a short cut and left the bacon whole. Next time I will crumble it, as the directions recommend. This with some fresh fruit makes a wonderful breakfast.

It was great! Perfect hangover cure! I made it a little different, however. I left the crust on the bread, I used 1/2 lb bacon, 4oz breakfast sausage, I cooked a handful of chopped onions in the bacon grease and added paprika and pepper to the eggs. I think I will call this recipe "Hangover Helper"

Heck, if you don't have it leave it out. Or add some other cheese. Or make it up as you go along. It's not the Constitution, it's just a recipe. Change it as you like. Modify, electrify, dramatize...

Is bacon pre cooked, then crumbled?

This sounds really good Doug. I like the idea of making it ahead and freezing when I feel like cooking something so when I don't feel like cooking somethingIi can cook this. :)
