How to make it

  • Defrost potatoes.
  • Combine 1/2 cup butter, salt, pepper, onion, soup, sour cream, and cheese.
  • Mix thoroughly.
  • Pour over potatoes in a 3 quart baking dish.
  • Mix 1/4 cup butter and cornflakes; sprinkle on top.
  • Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
  • Cream of celery soup may be used for the chicken soup and 2 cups grated cheese may be used instead of cheese whiz...

    I make something similar - this is such a perfect "party" or "crowd" dish...good flavors and easy to put together - you can't go wrong with this dish!
