Easy Garlic Rice Recipe


EASY GARLIC RICE Recipe
Smooth rice and garlic flavor. So easy to make and a nice change from plain rice.

Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped fine
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced fine
  • 1 cup long grain rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 bay leaf
  • ¼ cups parsley, chopped (optional)

Directions
  1. Put the oil in a skillet and sauté the onions and garlic until golden.
  2. Add rice, broth, thyme and bay leaf and bring to a boil uncovered, turn down heat to low cover and simmer about 25 minutes or until the liquid is absorbed. Give a little stir after 15 minutes. Remove bay leaf and stir in the parsley.

Sounds Very Good.. when adding broth, it would make sence to add oil, and 25 mins is wayyyyyy too long to cook rice... rice stuck and came out like shit
