How to make it

  • Preaheat oven to 375 degrees
  • Melt butter in cast-iron skillet
  • Sprinkle sugar, and cinnamon into melted butter
  • Stir gently until sugar melts
  • Remove from heat
  • Place peeled, sliced apples on top of melted mixture
  • Roll out pie crust and place on top of apples folding edges neatly inside skillet
  • Make sure edges go completely to all sides
  • Using fork, make small vent holes in pie crust.
  • Bake for 25 minutes
  • Remove and let set for 10 minutes
  • Place cake plate over skillet and turn up-side down
  • Serve with vanilla ice cream

    A 9" or 10" would be fine. Just increase the size of the pie crust. Hope you enjoy it...it is really, really good!
