Perfect Lemon Tart

This is the perfect lemon tart recipe, my cooking mentor gave this to me. It's perfect with a delicate crisp layer that forms on top, with a creamy and bright lemon interior, and a buttery, almost shortbreadish, crust. Read more (make sure you work as cold as possible for the maximum flakiness) yum.

- 4 oz butter shopping list
- 1 cup all purpose flour shopping list
- 1/4 cup confectioners sugar shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs, beaten shopping list
- 4 tblspn lemon juice shopping list
- 2 tblspn flour shopping list
- 1/2 tspn baking powder shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit.
- combine the butter, 1-cup flour and confectioners sugar.
- pat into an eight-inch tart pan.
- bake in hot oven for 15 minutes, remove and cool.
- mix together the sugar, eggs, lemon juice, remaining flour and baking powder.
- pour over the cooled crust.
- bake for an additional 25 minutes.
- cool and serve.
