Ingredients

How to make it

  • Make your oatmeal to be a bit dry
  • scoop a hole in the oatmeal
  • Put in the butter/margarine
  • cover it up, you're burying your gold...
  • top with brown sugar (more or less, more is better...haha)
  • cover with milk
  • let the butter/marg. melt for 30 seconds in the oatmeal's heat
  • watch some butter surface
  • dig in!
  • kids like this a lot, well, I did as a kid. It's almost like a comfort food!! I always add on some milk and extra brown sugar...This really is like a heart attack in a bowl...haha

This really is GREAT. My favorite quick comfort food. Got to be sure to put lots of butter and brown sugar too. I leave off the milk cause I make my oatmeal a bit more moist. Thanks for great post. Try with a bit of maple sugar sometime. It is to die for!

It's really tasty...the butter floats to the top of the milk, and sometimes picks up a brown sugar chunk or two, and hardens due to the temp of the milk, then bursts open when the milk warms...very OCD-ish, but very very tasty. Also, this doesn't taste as good with white sugar :-( so def. gotta use brown sugar...lol
