Caramel Squares

Bet you can't eat just one! A shortbread type crust with a caramel topping. So easy!
Ingredients
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed shopping list
- 1 cup margarine shopping list
- 4 egg yolks, beaten shopping list
- 2 tsp. vanilla shopping list
- 3 cups flour shopping list
- pinch of salt shopping list
- TOPPING shopping list
- 4 egg whites shopping list
- 2 cups brown sugar, packed shopping list
How to make it
- Mix sugar and margarine until fluffy.
- Add yolks and vanilla. Mix.
- Add flour and salt and mix.
- Press into a 9 x 13 pan
- For topping, beat egg whites until stiff.
- Fold in brown sugar.
- Pour over base.
- Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees.
