Ingredients
  • Butter – 125gms/at room temp
  • White Sugar – 2 Tbsps
  • Brown Sugar – 3 Tbsps
  • Almond essence – 1 tsp
  • Flour – 1 ½ cups
  • Salt-1 pinch
  • Baking Powder – ½ tsp

Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 150deg C
  2. Grease 2 baking sheets
  3. Sift flour + baking powder + salt
  4. Beat the butter + sugars + essence
  5. Sift the flour mix into the butter mixture and mix to a dough
  6. Chill till firm
  7. Roll out on a lightly floured surface to ½” thickness
  8. Cut out desired shapes with cookie cutters
  9. Place 12 on each cookie sheet
  10. Bake for 20-25minutes till golden brown
  11. Remove from oven, and sprinkle with castor sugar
  12. Stencil design with cocoa if desired
  13. Leave on cookie sheets for 1 min
  14. Cool on racks. Store in an airtight container
  15. Makes approximately 2 dozen cookies.
