Marinated Tomatoes

- 4 large tomatoes or 6 medium, sliced thick shopping list
- balsamic vinegar of your choice (regular, white, golden, etc.) shopping list
- Minced garlic from a jar, WITH juice. shopping list
- garlic pepper shopping list
- salt shopping list
- Fresh or dried basil shopping list
How to make it
- arrange tomato slices on a plate with no overlaps
- sprinkle (I use a spray bottle!) with balsamic vinegar until each slice is covered (don't overdo it, but cover the surface)
- sprinkle with garlic pepper, and SMALL amt. of salt
- turn slices over, repeat the vinegar application
- layer approximately 1/2 tsp. of garlic and juice for each slice.and fresh basil ribbons, or dried basil, crumbled. You can adjust the amounts to your own taste, of course.
- cover plate and refrigerate at least an hour.
- Serve with whatever and prepare to lick your lips!

Oh my I have been looking for a recipe just like this thanks for a great post you got my 5. this is perfect recipe for tomatoes as I grow them in the summer and would be great sandwich material.
