Hot and Spicy Sauteed Mushrooms

- 1/2 cup butter, divided shopping list
- 1 pound fresh mushrooms (I use baby bellas), sliced shopping list
- 1/2 cup green bell pepper, chopped shopping list
- 1/2 cup red bell pepper, chopped shopping list
- 1/4 cup green onions, thinly sliced shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic, minced shopping list
- 1/4 cup red wine shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon Cajun or creole seasoning shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper shopping list
How to make it
- In large skillet, melt 4 tablespoons butter.
- Saute mushrooms until tender.
- Remove mushrooms from pan and set aside.
- Add remaining butter to skillet.
- Add green pepper, red pepper and green onions. Saute until softened.
- Add garlic and saute 1 minute.
- Add wine and seasonings.
- Return mushrooms to skillet and simmer 2 to 3 minutes.
