Chicken Verde Recipe
This is a quick and tasty option for chicken. Serve with white rice or flour tortillas.

Ingredients
  • 2 pounds chicken tenders
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 16-ounce bottle salsa verde
  • 8 ounces shredded cheese (Cheddar/Jack or a Mexican-Blend)
  • 1 small can sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro

Directions
  1. Combine flour, garlic powder, chili powder, and salt in a shallow bowl or pie plate. Heat oil in skillet over medium-high heat. Dredge chicken tenders in flour mixture, then place in skillet to brown about 10 minutes, turning once. Pour salsa verde over browned chicken; cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese and sliced olives. Cover and cook until cheese is melted. Sprinkle with chopped cilantro.

Yum.....this does sound good!


I just copied and pasted this recipe to a word doc. I do it in Arial font, make page as big as possible, font size was able to go to 20. Saved in my Recipe folder in Word. Then print and put in sheet protector so easy to read and keeps page clean. I will make this soon and take some pics for you to add to your recipe page. It looks easy to make, and ingredients look real good. Thanks, JJ.


This is one of my favorite things to eat. I sometimes just throw the ingredients in the slow cooker...the wonderful aroma that greets me when I get home later in the day is just awesome.
