This recipe is easy, full of flavour...and has no store-bought mixes. I avoid these mixes because they have preservatives and additives. See the note at the bottom of the recipe in case you cant find the seeds!

Wow Vindee! This looks amazing! I love different curries and I don't like using pre-packaged stuff either. The only seed I don't have is "onion seeds" but I'm sure I could find them if I try...Thanks for the great post!

Goodie! Glad I've posted something u like! U can omit the onion seeds if they are tough to find...I think they are called nigella seeds...hang on, lemme check online. Yes, hmmmmmmmmm, knew I might have been wrong. Will just amend that to read nigella!! Phoeeeeeeeey!!

Wow, this looks so good! I love curries! Well all the ones I have tried have been very good! I have only ever made it with curry powder though.
probably much better with your own mix of spices!

I finally got a chance to make this - and it is a perfectly balanced curry. (Thanks re: nigella seeds.) Keep cooking, Vindee! We are enjoying it immensely!

This looks very good. I intend to make it as soon as I can get the ingredients not currently on my spice shelf. It's snowing like crazy, so I may need to wait a day or two. Thank for the yummy looking post.
