German Apple Cake For Oktoberfest

- 2 eggs shopping list
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil shopping list
- 2 cups sugar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 4 cups peeled chopped apples shopping list
How to make it
- In large bowl, beat eggs and oil until smooth.
- Add next 6 ingredients and mix well.
- Fold in apples.
- Pour into greased 9 x 13 pan.
- Bake at 350F degrees for 50-55 minutes.

We loved this cake! It took more time to peel the apples than it did to make the rest of the cake, but it was worth it. I used cream cheese frosting to make it extra rich for Thanksgiving. I added a post in IMI on Dec. 1, 2013.

Made it for the first time this past weekend and hubby & I love it! Coming from Germany I grew up with apple cake and this is as good as any I've ever had.
