Mothers Sticky Roasted Chicken

- 2 tsp of salt shopping list
- 1 tsp paprika shopping list
- 3/4 tsp cayenne pepper shopping list
- 1/2 tsp onion powder shopping list
- 1/2 tsp thyme shopping list
- 1/4 tsp white pepper shopping list
- 1/4 - 1/2 garlic powder shopping list
- 1/4 tsp black pepper shopping list
- 1 whole chicken 3-4 pounds shopping list
- 1 cup of chopped onions shopping list
How to make it
- Start the night before:
- In small bowl, combine well all above spices until will blended.
- Wash chicken inside and out removing all inner meats as well. Pat dry.
- Rub dry indregiants(no chopped onion) on outside and inside of bird coating well. Place in a sealable plastic bag, seal and refrigerate overnight turning over every few hours(juices will run to bottom, this ensures proper marination)
- When reay to roast chicken, stuff cavity with onions.
- Roast uncovered for 5 hours at 250 degrees basting occasionally with pan juices or until juices begin to carmalize on bottom of pan and chicken is golden brown.
