How to make it

  • Prepare crust for a 9 in. double crust pie
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Filling:
  • Put in bowl, 3 cups green tomatoes sliced thin, cover with boiling water, let set 10 min.
  • Drain, put in pie shell.
  • Add brown sugar, molasses,water,flour,cinnamon and nutmeg
  • Cover with top crust
  • Bake at 350 degrees, 45 min. to an hour

    This sounds excellent. I can't wait to fix it--our tomatoes did not amount to much this year in the area where we live..but I am going to go in search of some green tomatoes fast! :o)
