OUTRAGEOUS BROWNIES

This recipe for Outrageous Brownies is Inspired by Ina Garten from Food Network. It's rich, it's chocolaty and it's "Outrageous."
Ingredients
- 1/2 pound unsalted butter shopping list
- 1-1/2 Tbsp. instant coffee powder shopping list
- 1/2 pound (8oz. =1-1/2 cups) bittersweet chocolate, cut into chunks shopping list
- 9 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa - not dutch chocolate shopping list
- 3 Tbsp. oil shopping list
- 3 extra-large, cold eggs shopping list
- 1 Tbsp. real vanilla extract shopping list
- 1 tsp. chocolate extract shopping list
- 1-1/8 cups sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup+1/8 cup flour, divided shopping list
- 1-1/2 tsp. baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. kosher salt shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Grease and flour a 13 by 9 by 1 1/2-inch sheet pan.
- Melt together the butter, instant coffee & bittersweet chocolate in the microwave.
- Melt on high for 1 minute, stir the mixture, and repeat until mixture is almost completely melted.
- This took 2 minutes in my microwave.
- Remove from oven, and stir until all the chocolate is melted.
- Set aside to cool slightly.
- Stir together the eggs, oil, vanilla, chocolate extract, and sugar.
- Stir in the warm chocolate mixture.
- Stir together the 1/2 cup flour, baking powder and salt.
- Add to chocolate mixture.
- Toss the chocolate chips with flour to coat.
- Then add to the chocolate batter.
- Pour into the prepared pan.
- Bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until tester just comes out clean.
- Halfway through the baking, rap the pan against the oven shelf to allow air to escape from between the pan and the brownie dough. Do not overbake! Cool thoroughly, refrigerate well and cut into squares.
