White Chocolate Orange Sugar Cookies

- 4-1/2 cups all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1-1/2 teaspoons baking soda shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 2 cups (4 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature shopping list
- 1 cup white sugar shopping list
- 1 cup packed brown sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 3 tablespoons grated orange peel (zest) fresh, of course shopping list
- 4 cups white chocolate morsels shopping list
How to make it
- In large bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt
- In large bowl, beat the butter with the white and brown sugars until creamy
- In a small bowl beat together the eggs and grated orange peel
- Add to the butter/sugar mixture
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter/sugar mixture, one cup at a time, thoroughly combining after each addition
- Stir in the white chocolate morsels
- Drop by heaping tablespoons 2 inches apart on the baking sheet
- Bake for 10 or 12 minutes
- Cool on wire rack
- NOTE: You can make smaller cookies or larger cookies. I find it quick and easy, to use an ice cream scoop, 1-3/4 inch diameter scoop with an easy trigger release. *Make sure the trigger release is easy*. Some scoops are hard to release.
