White Chocolate Orange Sugar Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

4-1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1-1/2 teaspoons baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 cups (4 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature

1 cup white sugar

1 cup packed brown sugar

2 eggs

3 tablespoons grated orange peel (zest) fresh, of course

4 cups white chocolate morsels

Directions

In large bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt

In large bowl, beat the butter with the white and brown sugars until creamy

In a small bowl beat together the eggs and grated orange peel

Add to the butter/sugar mixture

Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter/sugar mixture, one cup at a time, thoroughly combining after each addition

Stir in the white chocolate morsels

Drop by heaping tablespoons 2 inches apart on the baking sheet

Bake for 10 or 12 minutes

Cool on wire rack

NOTE: You can make smaller cookies or larger cookies. I find it quick and easy, to use an ice cream scoop, 1-3/4 inch diameter scoop with an easy trigger release. *Make sure the trigger release is easy*. Some scoops are hard to release.
