Stick Em Ribs Recipe
The sauce on this makes these a really good meal. I know, there are about 1000 ways to do ribs, but this is pretty easy and finger-licking good.

Ingredients
  • 4 pounds spareribs, cut into pieces
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup finely chopped onions
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon liquid hot pepper seasoning
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons molasses
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme leaves
  • 2 teaspoons dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Directions
  1. Place ribs in a single layer into 2 large baking pans.
  2. Pour 1/2 cup water into each pan.
  3. Bake, covered, in a 350° oven for 1 hour.
  4. Meanwhile, in a wide frying pan over medium heat, melt butter.
  5. Add onions and cook until soft.
  6. Stir in ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, hot pepper seasoning, vinegar, molasses, ginger, thyme mustard and paprika.
  7. Blend well.
  8. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes.
  9. Remove ribs from oven and pour off and discard water and fat.
  10. Combine ribs in one pan and pour sauce over meat.
  11. Return to the oven and bake, uncovered, for 1 hour more or until meat is tender when pierced.
  12. Baste occasionally.

I do like the sound of this sauce. I love ginger! I use Tabasco Chipotle pepper sauce to give my ribs a more "smokey" flavor. I think it would go well with this recipe.
