How to make it

  • Heat oven to 350 degrees. Combine flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, all spice, salt
  • and nutmeg and set aside. In a large bowl beat butter and sugar on medium until
  • creamy; add egg and continue beating until well mixed. Continue alternating flour
  • mixture with molasses and water. Pour into a 13x9-in. pan and sprinkle with brown
  • sugar. In medium bowl combine 1 1/2 c. water and melted butter and pour on top of
  • batter, bake for 40-55 minutes until top cracks. Serve hot with cool whip.

    Man, does this look good. I love gingerbread, especially with whipped cream. Mom always drizzles hers with a rum butter sauce. Decadent.

    I love pudding cakes. Never had a Gingerbread one, it sounds yummy. I bet the whole house smells wonderful when it's baking.
