How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 450.
  • Mix together first 10 ingredients - gently! You don't want to break the lumps of crab..
  • Make 10 patties, each about the size of a woman's palm.
  • Coat patties in breadcrumbs.
  • Place patties on baking sheet or hot stone; mist top side with olive oil or cooking spray.
  • Cook at 450 for 10-15 minutes.
  • Turn patties over; mist with olive oil or cooking spray.
  • Cook at 450 for another 10-15 minutes.
  • Remove from oven, and let cool 5-10 minutes.
  • Serve with spinach salad with mustard sauce.
  • Blend all ingredients together until smooth; chill for at least 30 minutes. Serve with crab cakes or over salad.

    I finally found it! A lowfat version of crab cakes that I can bake instead of frying.....thank you, thank you! sounds delicious and I will surely try.

    I usually make a spicy sauce, but I will have to try your mustard sauce - sounds delicious! Love the idea of baking the crab cakes, too. Great post!
