Ingredients

How to make it

  • Place the chicken, butter, soup, onion, potatoes, and carrots in a slow cooker and fill with enough water to cover. (I have also started to use chicken broth instead of water here.)
  • Cover and cook on high for 5 to 6 hours.
  • About 45 minutes before serving, place the torn biscuit dough in the slow cooker. Cook until the dough is no longer raw in the center.

Grew up on tube biscuit dumplings. Quick, easy solution for cooks with limited time. This recipe was okay but felt a crock pot was not the way to fluff these up as they should have been.

I used the already cooked rotisserie chicken and used cubbed red potatoes, green beans, already diced onions an pre packaged baby carrots. I used water instead of chicken broth. There is plenty of flavoring/salt in the chicken that will do fine. Can't wait to try it!

Its in the crock pot now!! The smell is driving everyone nuts!! I did go ahead and add the green beans, corn, and peas, as Vidaliasmom recommended and used the broth instead of water. Thanks for the recipe, cant wait to to taste!! Will rate after we dig in!!

I made this for my daughter yesterday. She was coming home from the hospital with her new baby girl, and I thought it would be perfect for a busy family with a new addition. She LOVED it. The house smelled so good. Talk about true comfort food. Thanks for sharing.

Made this tonite for the family- wonderful! Even my 4 yr old liked it. At first I was unsure whether this would be enough, but it is very filling, and there are leftovers for my fiancee for tomorrow. The best thing is that there are only a few ingredients- inexpensive, already-on-hand items.
Thanks so much for sharing this!
