How to make it

  • Mix coconut, sugar, flour and salt.
  • Stir in egg whites and almond extract.
  • Drop by spoonfuls onto greased & floured cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 325 degrees for 15 min.
  • Remove from cookie sheets and allow to cool completely on wire racks.
  • Drizzle with melted chocolate.
  • Refrigerate on wax paper-lined tray for at least 45 min.
  • Makes 3 dozen

    I love macaroons. I make them with honey, and that's about the only difference. But I've never added chocolate.. This will be interesting .
