Ingredients

How to make it

  • Put potatoes in large stove top pot, cover with water and chicken stock. (May need more liquid)
  • Boil with onion, seasoned salt, garlic pepper, margarine, garlic, and parsley - uncovered, to allow liquid to reduce
  • When potatoes are just tender add the mushroom soup, sour cream, milk, cream, additional margarine and one c. cheese
  • Cook another 10 minutes or longer
  • Top each serving with more cheese, chives, and bacon bits
  • ** This really is a guessipe, so be prepared to add some more milk and allow it to reduce a little more to get it thick and creamy **

Oh Sparow, awesomely good soup! I will admit I was a bit leery about using 2 cans of mushroom soup (last time I used that soup on something it was not so tasty) but in here...mmmm. Added flavor without being too mushroomy. Perfect soup for this dreary, cloudy day. :)

Hey you. :) Gonna be cold and rainy here the next few days and I just might do up a pot of this. How big is a large can of mushroom soup? And, I only have russet potatoes. Will probably use them and peel.
