How to make it
- In a large kettle, gently brown one diced onion in bacon drippings. Then add red cabbage, cut in 1/3 inch slices and stir fry.
- Add the cooking apple, peeled and cut up.
- Add the vinegar, sugar, and water, simmer until cabbage is tender with the lid on the pan, approximately 1 hours.
