How to make it

  • I cube up the bread
  • Mix the eggs with the cream/milk
  • dash salt...not much makes egg tough
  • Pour egg mix over bread let it soak a bit. Dont mush it up, bread should stay like cubes.
  • Be sure it is moist not dry. It will be custardy that way.
  • Heat the oil
  • pour in a laddle full of mixture in center of pan and spread a bit. It will be lumpy because of cubes I make one per pan, a big size almost a small plate size.
  • brown well until golden and crispy
  • flip do other side. sometimes I need two spatulas
  • serve with syrup, butter, anything...I love butter on mine with salt.
