just made this tonight. it came out very, very good. The sauce created by the cooking clams (and wine etc) was great, and gave the dish (over angelhair) a slightly sweet taste that was really good. Close my eyes and I'm at a restaurant eating a $18 plate.

I think this dish would do well as a spanish tapas also. It is so simple yet has great taste. Nothing like wine and garlic. Yummy!

I have never actually done steamers but I do love to order them out. Not sure what type of clams I would use here in England but will see what is available so I can make your recipe. Thanks for posting.

You have won a place in my heart. I love steamers and wish every day that I could live in a place where I can get them fresh. We don't see them often here in the midwest but when I can find some little necks I will be using this recipe. YUM YUM! Thanks for the post. MJ

I love clams but I've never tried to cook them in the shell before. This recipe makes it sound easy. Also sounds delicious, so I will definitely try!
