Ingredients

How to make it

  • In a large bowl, cream together butter, sugar and extract. Add the flour and mix together well. Cover bowl and chill the dough slightly. When dough is chilled, take about 1 tablespoon of dough and roll it into a ball. Insert a candy kiss into the middle of the ball, and then roll the ball gently between your palms to completely cover the candy kiss in the dough. Place balls on ungreased cookie sheet, leaving about 2” between cookies, as they will spread a bit as they bake. Bake at 375 degrees for about 10 to 12 minutes, until set but not brown. Cool cookies on the pan for a few minutes before removing and rolling them in powdered sugar while they are still warm. Place cookies on waxed paper to finish cooling. Store cooled cookies in a covered container with waxed paper in between layers.

I made something like this about 20 years ago and lost the recipe. I left one of the kisses still in it's foil for someone who was a brat! LOL! I've outgrown little pranks like that now. Thanks for the recipe.....I will be making these soon!
