Halloween Pizza Treats

A silly but fun recipe for your next Halloween party or dinner. Let the kids decorate their own pizzas using fresh vegetables and cheeses for a healthy holiday snack or meal.
Ingredients
- 4 English muffins shopping list
- pizza sauce shopping list
- mozzarella cheese shopping list
- pepperoni shopping list
- green onion, peppers, mushrooms, etc. to decorate shopping list
- *You can use a pre-made pizza dough like Boboli or use the canned pizza dough. You can even use hamburger buns! shopping list
How to make it
- Cut English muffins in half.
- Spread pizza sauce over the muffins and sprinkle on cheese.
- Cut pepperoni to create pumpkin faces or monsters.
- Peppers, mushrooms, green onions, zucchini, carrots, raisins, olives, etc.
- School Halloween Classroom Party
- Pre-toast the English muffins before taking them to the class. Have one sliced muffin per child. If you toast them first, you only have to heat them up enough to melt the cheese after the children decorate them. (Believe me, this IS a good idea!)
- *I cut up several vegetables and put them on paper plates. Each child takes two muffin halves on a paper plate and adds a spoonful of sauce, a pinch of cheese and then gets to choose vegetables to decorate their own pizzas. We used a toaster oven in the classroom. Each child takes their turn having their pizza toasted for them and they are always delighted with the results!
