Pistachio Pound Cake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 package yellow cake mix
  • 1 package pistachio instant pudding mix
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 4 eggs
  • Filling:
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon

Directions
  1. In large bowl mix the above ingredients and beat about 3 minutes.
  2. In small bowl mix filling ingredients until well combined.
  3. Pour 2/3 of batter between 2 greased loaf pans.
  4. Sprinkle filling over then cover with remaining batter.
  5. Bake at 375 for 40 minutes.
  6. Cool right side up then invert out of pan.

Hello, I made this today and the cakes have so much flavor. I love the idea that it is baked in a loaf pan and my husband commented that he couldn't believe how moist it tasted. His favorite USE to be banana bread. Now, it seems to have changed to Pistachio Pound Cake. Thank you for submitting a great recipe. :D

This sounds delightful, pistachio nuts and pistachio pudding have such a wonderful flavor. I can hardly wait to give it a try. Thanks for the post.


I had a question about the cinnamon, i am admittedly not a big fan and i was wondering how important that is to the cake or if you have any alternatives? i'm excited to try it!
