How to make it

  • Brown the hamburger and Italian sausage. Remember to remove sausage from casing and break up the beef.
  • Dice the onion, green and red pepper, carrots, celery & mushrooms and saute.
  • Add the meat to the veggies.
  • In a large Dutch Oven add the tomato sauce, tomato paste and stewed tomatoes, mixing well.
  • Simmer on low. Add garlic, Tabassco, basil, rosemary salt, pepper and honey.
  • Add the meat and veggies and simmer at least 2 hours.
  • Serve over your choice of pasta with a green salad and/or garlic bread.
  • Sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.

    I made this and it was really good..BUT...I forgot the wine..i am sure it would've been even better with it..NOW I have half gal of great sauce...We probably only ate a cup or so at dinner (just 3 of us)..What do u do with your leftovers...Planning some lasagne??
