Chocolate Stuffed Roasted Strawberries

Got this from Rachel Ray -her recipes called for bittersweet chocolate, we liked it better with semi-seet, and with milk chocolate. Great dessert for a romantic dinner. But I am also thinking about serving this at Christmas if I can find some strawberries! Read more See less
Ingredients
- 12 extra large strawberries shopping list
- 1-2 ounces tiny chocolate morsels, semi-sweet or milk chocolate shopping list
- 1 t sugar (optional) shopping list
- spray whipped topping (the real kind, in a can, dairy section) shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees
- Slice the tops off of the strawberries, just below the stems
- Cut the tips off, so that the strawberries will stand up
- Using a small spoon or melon baller, hollow out the strawberries
- Stuff chocolate morsels in the strawberries, stand in baking dish
- Lightly sprinkle with sugar
- Roast until chocolate is melted, about 10-12 minutes
- Top wtih whipped cream
