Old Sally Lunn Bread in a bundt pan

- 1 cup milk shopping list
- 5 tablespoons Crisco shopping list
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 4 cups flour shopping list
- 2 teaspoons salt shopping list
- 2 packages dry yeast shopping list
- 3 beaten eggs shopping list
How to make it
- In saucepan, heat milk, Crisco, and sugar until warm
- In a large mixer bowl whisk 1-1/2 cups flour, salt, and yeast
- With mixer, blend both mixtures
- Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed for 2 minutes
- Gradually add 1/2 cup flour and eggs on high for 2 minutes
- Mix in remaining 2 cups flour (batter will be thick)
- Cover bowl, let rise until double in bulk (about an hour)
- Punch dough down with wooden spoon
- With mixer, beat on low speed again for a few seconds
- Place into a greased and floured bundt or tube pan
- Cover, let rise until dough increases 1/3 in bulk
- Bake 40 minutes (or a little longer) at 350 degrees
- When done, loosen sides and center with knife, and turn onto a plate just like a cake.
- Cut into slices and serve warm with lots of butter :)
