How to make it

  • Place oats, wheat germ, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds and almonds in ungreased bowl.
  • Heat in microwave on full power for 2 minutes.
  • Add brown sugar and cinnamon to mixture then stir to blend.
  • Add oil, honey and vanilla to dry ingredients and toss lightly until coated.
  • Cook in microwave on level 7 for 6 minutes.
  • Stir twice during cooking.
  • Add cranberries then cook in microwave on full power for 2 minutes.
  • Press granola onto baking sheet then cool completely.
  • Break into pieces and store in tightly covered container or in the refrigerator.

    Not sure microwave is a good idea and there is a lot of sugar, rest of it sounds lovely

    wow this is great..thank you..I will sub in wheat germ for flax seed and also add in chopped prunes for craisens maybe even pb sometimes and also for canola oil I wonder if unsweetened applesauce could work.
