Ingredients
  • 3 lb chuck roast
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • bay leaf
  • 3-4 whole peppercorns

Directions
  1. Cook everything in crockpot on high for 5-6 hours or low for 8-10 hours.
  2. Take meat from broth and slice for French Dip sandwiches.
  3. Strain broth to make 'au jus' for dipping.
  4. Serve on french rolls or hoagie buns. Add cheese and sauteed onions, mushrooms,or peppers and pop it all under the broiler for a perfect sandwich.
  5. I also like to throw some horseradish into the au jus for a heavenly kick.
