Black Forest Cheesecake Parfaits Recipe

A twist on the original black forest dessert.

Ingredients
- 4 cups frozen, unsweetened cherries
- 1/2 cup black cherry preserves
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tbls. lemon juice
- 6 oz. cream cheese
- 3/4 cup chocolate wafer cookie crumbs
- Whipped cream
Directions
- Put frozen cherries and preserves in saucepan and bring to boil
- Simmer 5 minutes the remove from heat and cool completely
- Combine sugar, juice and cheese and beat with a hand mixer until smooth. Cover and chill
- Spoon 2 tsp. crumbs into each glass; top with 1 1/2 tsp. cream cheese mixture and 3 tbls. cherry mixture. Repeat layers. Garnish with a dollop of whipped cream.
