Sesame Fried Onigiri

- 1 1/2 cups sushi rice - (short grain rice) shopping list
- sesame oil shopping list
- sesame seeds shopping list
- 1 dash garlic and onion powder *optional* shopping list
- 1 dash salt shopping list
- 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar shopping list
How to make it
- Steam rice as usual either on a stove top or in a steamer, I used a steamer.
- Fluff rice, and add vinegar, salt, and the seasonings of your choice. You can also add curry powder or Miso paste.
- I used a mold for my onigiri, shown here: http://www.cookingcute.com/onigiri_with_filling.htm
- However it can also be molded by hand, but it must be down while hot or it wont stick together as well. Any shape will do, I used triangles.
- Heat sesame oil in a pan and lightly fry Onigiri until golden on each side.
