Ingredients

How to make it

  • Measure flour into mixing bowl with baking powder and salt.
  • In another bowl, combine, eggs, oil, sugar, bacon, mustard and onion; stir in beans
  • Add all at once to flour, stirring just until flour is moistened.
  • Pour into a greased 8 1/2"x4 1/2" loaf pan.
  • Bake in a 350ºF oven 50 to 55 minutes or until done.
  • Cool 15 minutes before removing from pan. Makes 1 loaf.

    I made it, it's just weird,I don't think I will make it again. but maybe a slash of maple syrup would help sweeten it up, I just ate it alone,then tried it w/ some butter & that helped. I think it would be better w/ a soup or stew too. not bad, but not great

    I made this today. It was pretty good. It seemed like it needed "something" though. Maybe more bacon. It made a big loaf and I think 1/4 of a cup kind of got lost in it. I think it would go well with a soup or stew. It was very moist! I'd be interested to see what others think. Hopefully someone else will make this and give some other feedback. Thank you!

    Wow, what a cool recipe! Combines two of my fave childhood comfort food ... bread, and pork 'n beans! I simply must try this, so have bookmarked ... thanks so much for sharing! :-)
