How to make it

  • Heat butter and oil in large skillet. Brown pork chops on both sides. Set aside
  • Combine soup, mushrooms, mustard, chicken broth, garlic, salt, basil and pepper in slow cooker. Add potatoes and onion. Stir to coat. Place chops on top of potato mixture
  • Cover, cook on low 8-10 hours OR high 4-5 hours.
  • Enjoy!

    I was out of potatoes but had a bag of carrots so I just cut them up in big pieces & put at the bottom of the crock pot. Substituted cream of mushroom for the chicken soup & added some cumin. I browned the chops first took 'em out & added rough chopped onion & slivered garlic. Put my chops on top of the carrots & my oinions, garlic & seasonings on top of the chops (so the carrots stay sweet) and poured the soup/mustard mix over it. WOW, this dish rocked, even with all the variations I had to do! Going to use the left over 'gravy' to pour over chicken fried steaks tomorrow night!
