Ingredients

How to make it

  • Cut toufu into 1 cms thick, 5 cms wide
  • fry toufu until both sides are golden brown
  • with alittle oil saute garlic until fragant add sugar until caramelize add soy sauce until fragant add water, chilli, scallion, salt and pepper.
  • simmer until sauce is absorbed, taste,
  • add cornstarch mixture to thicken the sauce, stir well, serve

    I tried this with silken firm tofu and it fell apart. :( I may have to try this again with extra firm tofu and maybe cut down on the water in the sauce because it was too bland.
