White Velvet Cut-Outs

- 1 cup butter shopping list
- 3 oz. cream cheese, softened shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 egg yolk shopping list
- 1/2 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 2 1/2 cups flour shopping list
- Sprinkles or colored sugar shopping list
- Glaze: shopping list
- 1 cup powdered sugar shopping list
- 1 T. wate shopping list
- 1/2 t. lemon juice shopping list
How to make it
- Cream butter and cream cheese together.
- Beat in sugar.
- Add egg yolk and vanilla, then stir in flour.
- Gather dough into a ball and chill overnight.
- To prepare, preheat oven to 350*
- On a lightly floured board, roll out dough to 3/16 inch thickness.
- Cut into desired shapes.
- Place cookies on ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake for 12 minutes or until edges are light brown.
- Cool on wire racks.
- Mix glaze ingredients together and spread a thin coat on each cookie, topping with colorful sprinkles or sugar.
- When glaze is dry, store cookies in an airtight container.
