Cocoa Kiss Cookies

these cookies are wonderfully chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate.. this is another cookie that goes very fast.. The recipe came out of a chocolate pamphet, but I've made several changes to the orginal. the prep time doesn't count the hour chill time
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter shopping list
- 3/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 teasp. vanilla shopping list
- 1/2 teasp. salt shopping list
- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 1 ex. large egg shopping list
- 1/4 cup Hershey's cocoa powder shopping list
- 1 cup finely chopped pecans shopping list
- Hershey's Kisses shopping list
- confectioners sugar, or white chocolate, or semi-sweet or milk chocolate shopping list
How to make it
- mixer bowl: cream butter, sugar, vanilla until light and fluffy. add egg and beat
- mix together the flour and cocoa powder
- add to creamed mixture. beat at low speed until well mixed
- add nuts mix well
- chill the dough for one hour
- take the wrappers off the chocolate kisses
- mold small amount of chilled cookie dough around each of the chocolate kisses.. follow the shape of the kiss
- place on a ungreased cookie sheet
- bake at 350' for 10-12 mins. or until almost set
- cool then either roll in confectioners sugar.. OR melt your choice of chocolate and dip whole cookie in it or what I do, is dip the top in white chocolate
