Ingredients
  • 5 1/2 lb Beef roast
  • 5 1/2 lb Pork roast
  • 4 Or 5 chickens; 2-1/2 to 3 lbs each
  • 20 lb Potatoes
  • 1 ga Whole tomatoes plus 2 reg cans tomatoes
  • 5 lb Onions; or 6 lbs
  • 7 cloves of garlic (chopped)
  • 1 ga Whole corn plus 2 reg cans corn
  • 64 oz Ketsup
  • 2 Bottles cocktail sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions
  1. Boil beef and pork roast. Remove excess fat from chickens and boil these. (leave skin on.)
  2. While meat is boiling, cut 20 lbs potatoes into 1/2 -3/4-inch squares.
  3. Cut tomatoes into 1/8's (or dice as you like.)
  4. Cut onions into med size squares. (dice if you like.)
  5. Put potatoes, onions,Garlic, tomatoes plus most of the tomato juice into boiler to cook. Do Not Add Corn. While this is cooking, tear meat up, shread very fine. Remove all fat, bone and skin.
  6. Mix all shreaded meat together. When potatoes, tomatoes, garlic and onion are done. Alternate stew and meat into a large container to mix.
  7. Add Ketsup and cocktail sauce. Mix or stir well. If additional juice is needed, use broth from meats.
  8. When mixed put in boilers, add corn and simmer till corn is done.
  9. Beware that stew will stick and scorch easy at this point. When corn is done, camp stew is done. (Freezes well)
  10. Serve: 25

Griz, heavens, this is quantity cooking at it's finest. Sir, you are the man. I imagine you would need some industrial size pots to cook this in. Have a good one, dear.


My father was a boyscout leader for years and I remeber him and my brothers making this stew they called it wolf stew. Very good and gets better as they day goes on as it cooks over a light fire all day!!!


This is great too.dont worry i looked first to see if any wild critters were in it ha ha ha
