Ingredients
  • Fruit:
  • 2 large cans fruit cocktail
  • 1 medium can mandarin oranges
  • 1 can pitted dark red cherries (not pie filling)
  • 1 large can pineapple tidbits
  • 1 apple, chopped and squeezed with lemon to prevent from turning colour
  • 1 cup green grapes, halved
  • 1/4 cup desiccated coconut
  • 1-1/2 cups coloured marshmallows
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • Dressing:
  • 1 8 ounce block cream cheese at room temperature
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 small jar marshmallow cream
  • 1 Tablespoon orange or pineapple juice
  • Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg approximately 1/4 tsp.

Directions
  1. Drain all fruit, and rinse cherries.
  2. Combine all fruit and other ingredients in a large bowl.
  3. Mix ONLY the dressing ingredients together with a mixer or hand whisk.
  4. Add to the fruit and gently fold with a wooden spoon.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 5 hours.
  6. Note: Bananas do NOT work well in this fruit salad.
  7. You can always substitute other fresh fruit of your choice ie. watermelon/cantaloupe/honeydew etc.
