Here is a recipe I found for hand cream that is excellent for sore, dry skin. The recipe, developed by Rosemary Gladstar, is contained in the book "Tasha Tudor's Heirloom Crafts."

This sounds great. The dry weather is here and that means dry skin. Thanks for sharing!

When I make this for feet I use tea tree oil, as it kills things like fungus! Better to be safe them sorry!! I had a reallllly good foot cream recipe, but lost it in our van accident. I will try to recreate it for you, may be awhile, I am very very sick. Sitting up hurts.

I agree with craners - I never wear even socks at home, and I wear flip-flops any time I can!
tuilelaith, hope you feel better soon!

All the ingredients is so healthy. I like the home made stuff, because you know what is inside. We don't always remember that our skin is super absorbent. Did you know your skin absorbs 1/2 a cup of water when you are in a bath tub?

Make sure you refrigerate this and use it up within a week or 10 days, since it doesn't contain a preservative. Anything with water and oil together has the potential for becoming contaminated and growing ickies. (Vitamin E is not a preservative.)
