Pear BlueCheese and Pecan Salad

                    - 1/2 cup pecans shopping list
- 1/4 cup white sugar shopping list
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp sugar shopping list
- 1 tbs Dijon mustard shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp minced garlic shopping list
- 1/8 tsp fresh ground pepper shopping list
- 3 tbs olive oil shopping list
- 1 head romaine lettuce, washed, trimmed and torn into bite-size pieces shopping list
- 3 pears, cored and chopped shopping list
- 2 ounces blue cheese, crumbled shopping list
- 1 small red onion, thinly sliced shopping list
How to make it 
                    - In small skillet over medium hear, stir pecans and 1/4 cup sugar
- Continue stirring gently until sugar has melted and caramelized the pecans.
- Transfer pecans onto a sheet of waxed paper.
- Allow to cool and break into pieces.
- In a small bowl, combine vinegar, 1 1/2 tsp sugar, mustard, garlic, salt and pepper.
- Slowly whisk in the olive oil.
- In a large bowl, layer lettuce, pears, blue cheese and onion.
- Pour dressing over salad, sprinkle with pecans and serve immediately.
